About Kan Ta
As the leader of our Engineering & Technology practice, Kan brings 20+ years of legal and search experience working with Founders and Leaders.
Before beginning his career in executive search, Kan spent a decade practicing law starting at a prominent San Francisco-based firm that specialized in the technology sector. Transitioning into technical recruiting, he became Co-Owner and Managing Partner at Binc, a pioneering firm that incepted the modern version of embedded recruiting services for major tech companies. With his leadership, Binc grew from 4 to over 160 employees across major U.S. cities and was named in Inc. Magazine’s list of Fastest-Growing Private Companies. He helped lead the firm’s acquisition by Robinhood in 2021, where he transitioned into Robinhood’s core senior talent leadership team and led a 200+ person recruiting organization.
Kan lives in the Bay Area, has two young boys who love soccer, and is an avid outdoor enthusiast. When he’s not playing Uber driver for soccer practices and games, he enjoys surfing, trail running, and mountain biking.
